Welcome to day 2 of Best of Work Smarter. Today's lesson comes from our good friend and neuropsychologist Flavio Loetscher's course Regain Focus.

Tony Schwartz, a NY based productivity consultant says: "The trouble is that, without any downtime to refresh and recharge, we’re less efficient, make more mistakes, and get less engaged with what we’re doing."

We all know that sustaining attention is not easy, but breaks can offer a simple solution. Time management first! Have you heard of the Pomodoro Technique? This method can be a helpful strategy to manage your time in regular breaks. It's all about timeboxing your work and cut it down to intervals (pomodori) with a duration of 25 minutes, followed by a 3-5 minute break. After the fourth pomodoro, take a 15-30 minute break (read more here). There are many online tools and Apps to help you - have a look

Now, set your timer and go! You'll be much more motivated and focused. Tomorrow, you learn what you can do during these breaks to help you reset your attention.
