Time for our last reflection. If you find it hard to make room for these sessions, you should lower the bar for yourself and just walk through the questions on your way to or from work. The important thing is that you do it, not how.

 Feedback works as a bridge that helps people develop. As a sender of feedback, you must make sure that the recipient receives it well and that he or she knows how to act on it. In order for your feedback to be successful, you must know how the individual usually reacts to feedback.

Reflection is the reaction we strive for. A defensive, indifferent or aggressive reaction is the worst possible reaction.

Ask yourself:

  1. Think back to a situation where you delivered really good feedback to someone. How did they react?

  2. What kind of feedback do you need in order to develop as a manager?
