Issue 1 of Running a tight inbox
Hi, and congratulations to the first step towards a lighter inbox!
For many people an overflowing inbox is a source of stress and huge time thief, at work.
Typically we aren’t trained to handle incoming email, we’re simply expected to know it. In reality there are many skills to learn, and much to gain by doing so.
Tomorrow we roll!
Exercise: Go through your inbox and delete the emails that you should have thrown away, but just happen still be there because of old (bad) habits. If you really don’t have anything to delete, take a 10-minute coffee break, and just feel good about yourself.
