What I Wore: The Juliette

Fashion

Discovering new places to add to my list of shopping haunts is always one of my favourite things about fashion and Husk has quickly become a favourite. They have a great edit of brands and products, and an on point in-house label designed by famed Aussie designer Kirrily Johnston who is the brand’s creative director. I was thrilled to work with them to showcase their latest spring collection, and this suiting set called the ‘Juliette’ is one of the standouts for me. It’s such great take on suiting with the checked print, wide leg pant and matching vest. A three-piece suit has always been such a staple of men’s tailoring, so I decided to give it a feminine vibe by wearing the vest as a top. The deep V neckline showing off a peek of decolletage gives it a hint of sexiness, but still honours the elements of a traditional suit. That said, I think it would also look great with a shirt worn underneath— ultimately it just depends where your mood takes you on any given day.

I accessorised this particular look with a pair of Bottega Veneta heels to avoid it looking too corporate. The on-trend silhouette of the shoe gives it a modern touch while the cat eye sunglasses add some edge. I opted for a black bag to complement my shoe choice, and in this instance, a quilted Dior bag made for the perfect finishing touch.
